Dori has a passion for helping her clients achieve optimal health by empowering them with nutrition education. She also enjoys assisting clients in learning how to have a healthy relationship with their food, body, and mind. She understands that there is no one “diet” or “quick fix” that works for everyone, therefore she provides her clients with individualized one-on-one nutritional advice and steps to meet their unique health and dietary goals. Dori Zerlin, MS RDN is a Los Angeles based Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Masters degree in Nutrition.
Her academic background includes a B.S in Health Promotions & Disease Prevention from the University of Southern California. Additionally she completed her Masters in Nutrition and Coordinated Didactic Nutrition Program from California State University, Los Angeles. Her extensive dietetic internship experience includes sites such as UCLA Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente.
Dori enjoys working with all types of populations in her private practice and outpatient work. Her special interests include mindful and intuitive eating, and the power of a whole-foods, plant-based cuisine to treat and possibly prevent many debilitating diseases (diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, cancers, and more). She has been working at Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles, as an outpatient registered dietitian since 2012.
Dori’s past work experience includes outpatient/private practice arenas such as dialysis centers, private gyms, and student health centers. She has also worked closely with bariatric doctors, cardiologists and chiropractors. She has worked in outpatient Bariatric programs at Olympia Medical Center, Cedars Sinai, and the Advanced Bariatric Center with Dr. Naim. Additionally, she enjoys providing counseling for corporate health events.
Dori is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Los Angeles Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Dori has also done extra certifications with the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy. Additionally she completed two courses from Dr Fuhrman’s Nutritarian Education Institute – Nutritarian Basics of Nutrition Certification and The Science of the Nutritarian Diet.
